COVID-19 Customer Update 07/07/20
The James Gibb Team hopes that all our customers are managing to keep safe and healthy during these difficult and challenging times.
As you will be aware, we are no well into Phase Two of the Four Phase route map out of lockdown.
Whilst our staff continue to work remotely, we are now making plans for a limited return to safe working within our offices (Phase Three) although the timing of this will be dependent on further government announcements and the spread of COVID-19 being contained. Although we are working remotely, we have been able to maintain our client communication and service delivery and we have had considerable success using online meeting platforms effectively for client meetings, committee meetings, AGMs etc.
From 6th July, we are looking to phase in the re-introduction of site visits / inspections although it is anticipated that it may still take some time to achieve normal frequency.
The majority of our approved contractors are now able to carry out most activities normally albeit with restrictions in some cases. For this reason, we are now able to instruct routine repairs, where possible, as well as the emergency or essential repairs service that has continued throughout lockdown. All our contractors are required to adhere to all government and health & safety guidelines as well as taking all necessary risk precautions when attending your development.
We would, once again, encourage those, who have not already done so, to sign up for electronic communications by emailing email@example.com and to sign on to your James Gibb + Portal using your account number and JG+ ref (available on direct communications and invoices). The Portal gives detailed information about what’s going on in your development. (Most importantly, what services are ongoing at your development during COVID -19). Thank you to the many who have recently done so. If you do know of any friends, family or neighbours, who are James Gibb customers, please let them know how to receive our communications.
Finally, for the moment, we recognise that this current climate may be financially challenging to many, but could we ask that those who have still to settle your latest invoice that you do so. Our remit is to ensure funds are available within your development to continue the supply of services. Our on-going services rely not just on the availability of our contractors but also on the availability of development funds to pay them.
