Factor Facts
We’ve completed a recent internal analysis of our portfolio of developments. One conclusion we reached was that those developments which have an active, and on-board, committee often have a much closer relationship with us than those without a conduit for common discussions. Being invited to attend committee meeting and organising and attending AGMs allows us to sort minor issues before they become major items of expenditure. If you haven’t done so, please consider setting up, and being part of a development’s committee. Your property manager will be pleased to assist if required.
We also noted, unsurprisingly, that those developments with owner payment issues tend to have less repair work done and less investment in the future with a consequential effect on the long-term property value. We have, perhaps, been accused of being quite firm when asking for settlement of unpaid/overdue invoices. We wouldn’t be doing our job properly if we weren’t trying to ensure your development is constantly in funds to allow us to maintain and improve it. We do have a duty to manage your communal funds so we would, politely (but firmly), remind all our customers of the importance to your whole development of settling your invoices within the requested time.
