Visit to Maggie’s Centre
You’ll remember that we recently donated £500 each to two charities suggested by you after our request in an earlier edition of The Address. As a reminder, the charities we selected were The Lothian Autistic Society and The Edinburgh and Lothians Prostate Cancer Support Group.
Our Office Manager, Val Black, and Managing Director, Douglas Weir, recently had the opportunity to visit Rob Lester and Larry Foster of The Edinburgh and Lothians Prostate Cancer Support Group at The Maggie’s Centre in Edinburgh’s Western General Hospital.
This organisation is run for and by those who currently have or have had prostate cancer and their work at the Maggie’s centre and beyond is, clearly, very much appreciated by patients, their families and carers.
It was a pleasure for us to be able to help, in a very small way, the good work done by Rob and his team as well as to see, first hand, the difference every penny makes.
