We’re starting off by finding out more about what it’s like to be a Trainee Property Manager from Liam Barber in our Aberdeen office.

Introduce yourself and your role in James Gibb

My name is Liam Barber and I am a Trainee Property Manager at James Gibb.

How long have you been with James Gibb?

I joined the company at the beginning of February this year.

What does an average day for you look like?

One of the reasons I really enjoy my job is that there is no average day at James Gibb, in that every day is different with a new challenge to complete. This keeps you on your toes and constantly learning in the world of factoring.

What is your favourite thing about with the James Gibb team?

Right from day one I have felt like a member of the team and cannot speak highly enough of my colleagues. It makes working so much easier when I can approach anyone with any concerns I have.

Do you have any interesting stories about working at James Gibb?

As I am still young in my role, I am yet to have any noteworthy stories but I am confident going by stories from my colleagues, this will change in the coming months/ years.

What’s the best thing about being a Trainee Property Manager?

The thing I enjoy the most is helping home owners on a daily basis. There Is no better feeling than watching what started as an idea, finish up as a completed project.
