Strathspey Capital / James Gibb acquire Grant and Wilson Ltd
Strathspey Capital / James Gibb are delighted to announce the acquisition of Glasgow based Property Managers, Grant and Wilson Ltd (trading as Bruce and Partners in Aberdeen).
This expands the current Edinburgh based portfolio of James Gibb to offices in Glasgow and Aberdeen providing a solid platform in each of these regions for further expansion as well as continuing growth in Edinburgh.
In consequent deals, Strathspey has sold on the acquired lettings division of Grant and Wilson to Lomond Capital (Edinburgh and Aberdeen) and D J Alexander (Glasgow).
These transfers allow the Strathspey group to focus on its core business of property factoring and brings the total number of units under its management to around 23,000.
In a change to the structure of the business, Douglas Weir (James Gibb’s Edinburgh Managing Director) is now chief Executive of the James Gibb Group of Companies and is based in Glasgow. Douglas also retains his role as Chief Executive of Strathspey Capital.
Edinburgh’s Operations Director, Nic Mayall, has now taken over as Managing Director of James Gibb Edinburgh.
