James Gibb has been managing properties since 1872. We are one of the oldest and most highly respected property management and factoring firms in the country. We actively promote the provision of high standards and operational best practice to all stakeholders and throughout the wider property management and factoring industry.
James Gibb is a credible and respected voice across the factoring industry and actively engages with the Scottish Government and other relevant agencies on property law, regulation and matters relating to heritable property in Scotland.
We have membership of and representation on the Board of the Property Managers Association Scotland (PMAS), the leading association representing professional property management and factoring firms in Scotland. Our involvement with PMAS gives us the opportunity to exchange knowledge, experience and information relating to factoring issues and to be proactive in the development of the factoring industry in Scotland.
Such is our standing in the property management and factoring industry members of our leadership team played an integral part in the consultation process, leading to the formation of the Property Factor (Scotland) Act 2011. James Gibb works in full compliance with the Act's Code of Conduct
