We recently opened the door on our new look , having completed our integration with Life Property Management (lpm). This new look combines the very best from James Gibb and lpm, into one new brand. As well as our visual style, there are some other changes we are making to help improve our service levels to our clients. One of these is the change from Property Managers to Development Managers.
Our Property Managers will from now on be known as Development Managers and their roles are being modified to ensure they can focus on operational requirements, site visits and projects. With the introduction of our Client Support Team, many of the administrative tasks will now be removed from operational duties allowing our Development Managers the time to focus on what’s most important; ensuring an efficient operational service to our homeowners.
As we implement this change, we thought now would be a good time to remind our clients of the roles and responsibilities of our Development Managers.
As a factor, we are responsible for maintaining and instructing repairs to the common parts of your development. The common parts of your development will normally be set out within your Deed of Conditions.
To oversee this, we appoint highly trained Development Managers for each development to ensure work is being carried out efficiently, on time and to a high standard. They frequently visit developments, attend Residents’ Committee meetings and AGM’s, liaise with approved contractors to instruct any required work and check everything is maintained well.
They also ensure that all necessary inspections are undertaken with regard to health and safety requirments and will make sure that any periodic maintenance such as external painting, is programmed in.
Our Development Managers pride themselves on the smooth management of their portfolio of properties whilst creating long-lasting, fruitful relationships with owners and contractors.
Many of our Development Managers are IRPM accredited, meaning they have passed the relevant exams to ensure they are fully equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to manage your development effectively. You can read more about our investment in our people and IRPM accreditations here.
